After 29 years in corporate America, and the loss of her brother, her focus in life changed. Lori renewed her calling to Service work. She wants to work with individuals in client centered sessions to help them relieve daily stress, manage their pain from injury, assist in healing from surgeries and help them along their path to a holistic balance of Mind, Body, and Spirit.
Lori graduated from (PMTI) Potomac Massage Training Institute in Washington, DC in 2009. She went on to pass the examination of the (NCBTMB) National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork, and her journey to offer Professional Bodywork begins.
Within her practice, Lori offers Swedish & Deep Tissue Massage, Aromatherapy with Young Living Oils, Integrative Reflexology®, Prenatal Massage, Comfort Touch, Geriatric Massage, is a Certified ionCleanse® Practitioner, Myofascial Release, is a Certified MELT®method Hand and Foot Instructor, and Thai Foot Massage.
Lori believes that a healthy body is a happy and balanced one. Minimizing stress(both physical & emotional), proper diet, WATER, regular deep breathing/meditation, getting out in Nature, and MOVING often is essential to turning the corner from pain to wellness.
Because everyone brings something different to the table, Lori listens to what has been going on in your life and helps to assess what some other factors could be trigging the discomfort in your body. Lori then designs each client centered session around the clients specific concerns and goals for their healing plan. We don't have to have a physical injury to feel pain. Emotions, the News and Stress from daily routines can trigger the same response in the body.
In addition to the continuing education required for licensing to practice Bodywork and Massage, Lori also regularly attends innovative in service classes, seminars, and webinars to add to her already strong academic foundation. Each and every client benefits from Lori's knowledge, her years of massage experience and her natural gift of healing through touch.
